[edit] Early Days

Originally Volia II was flagged for possible colonisation. After surveying the planet it was deemed barren due to the lack of indigenous life, rocky surface and lack of an atmosphere. There are some indications that certain common ores might be found bellow the surface but due to the cost of planet based mining when compared to the asteroid mining, so common in the galaxy, this was deemed inviable. The lack of viable industry on this planet meant that colonisation was also inviable and Volia II was labelled as Uninhabitable.

In recent years interest in this planet has begun to rise after captains on long haul trading flights began reporting of strange radio signals from the surface of the planet, these radio signals were only ever quick bursts and unfortunately too weak to pinpoint the location of transmission. Many theories have spread throughout the galaxy, the most popular of which is that while surveying the planet the scanners used disturbed some great evil that lies bellow the surface and some captains wont fly within several sectors of the planet for fear of bad luck.
