It is Velos's vast size that mosts effects it geography. For untold billions of years vast seas of magma beneath its surface have pwer vast sismic shifts. Were it without the sand it would have mountains that dwarf any other and chasms so deep that you couldn't see daylight from there base. But velos is not without sand, uncountable billions of istonnes of sand cover it like a blanket, smotthing the planets rugged surface. the same vast size that gave sutch variety to stone denies it from sand. there are no dunes on the surfaces of velos. the heavey hand of gravity has pulled the sand as flat as still water, save for where the tops of ancient peaks rise above the sands surface. Although the sands surface is flat it is not safe. gravity ever present on so large a planet pulled many of the early conloists to ther doom, buried under hundereds of tonnes of sand. for the most part navigation on velos it done buy type and quality of sand, the planet hase been divided int 36 regions each with it own dominate sand type. the exact bonderies of these terrotries however is still a matter of debate.the only terrotries of any real note are terrotry 13(coarse brown sand)in the planets north eastern hemishpere where a small collection of citys has been builton a seris of peaks, and terrotry 29(fine slightly pinkish sand) in the south west, where silicon is minied and refined.
