Taris

Taris is a quiet world, located in a far corner of one of the Outer Reaches systems. It is a marginal class planet which posesses all of the requirements to support humanoid life, except for a breathable atmosphere.

Taris is relatively small. The gravity on Taris is 68% of that on Mertis. For much of the planet, average temperatures are below freezing, yet ice is scarce beyond the poles, most of it being held below the dry desert surface. Yearly average temperatures at the equator are 6 degrees celcius, where large liquid water lakes form annually, providing a host of sports and leisure activities. Tourist dollars provide much of the income that supports permanent dwellers.
