Food processing is a set of techniques used to turn raw ingredients into a palatable form for consumption by humans or animals. Food processing typically takes harvested Cereal Crops or butchered animal products, and uses these to produce attractive, marketable food which often has a long life in transport. Extreme examples of food processing include the delicate preparation of deadly Xenoxian Yang, or preparing space food for consumption under zero gravity.
