New recruits to the NSA can expect the following:

[edit] History

The NSA can trace its roots back to the very days of the first human settlement of the Raxian system. Based in the south of Raxia on the planet Soror the alliance aims to achieve peace and prosperity for all captains who call Raxia their home.

The first form of the NSA, The Soror Merchant Fleet formed when Admiral Beefheart left the Raxian Imperial Alliance very shortly after the settlement of the planet Brax. He led the SMF to run the Raxian economy and to fund Raxia's war efforts. The SMF existed up until the very end of Chosen Space Version 1, when their then Admiral Aries immediately entered V2 and founded the Soror Council.

The Soror Council was again to become a large part of Raxian life, gaining control of the two southern-most planets, Soror and Brax. At this point it was realised that the Soror Council needed a new name due to it's political status. A vote was called and it's members voted almost unanimously for the faction to be renamed the North Star Alliance.

The NSA enjoyed and thrived in the very busy environment of Raxia, working closely with the other two Raxian factions, the Technomage Alliance and the Raxian Merchants Alliance. The NSA is now proud to call these two factions their closest and longest standing allies.

The North Star Alliance was happy to accept a merger with the Tree and Dragon Guild and the Solamnic Federation (Year unknown), bringing with them control of the Basian System.

In more recent times the NSA has grown both in size and politically. It's reach now encompassing the Raxian System, the Basian System, and operational centers in Expanse 4 and Expanse 8.

[edit] Diplomatic Policies

The NSA adopts a 'live and let live' belief, we will not interfere in the affairs and operations of other factions, but we expect the same courtesy in return. Should problems arise between ourselves and another party, we will attempt to resolve the problem through talking.

The NSA fully expects it's operational grounds and indeed operations to be in contest with those of other factions. When it is clear that such a clash is occuring, we will seek to make arrangements and agreements in order to forestall any problems.

The North Star Alliance is peaceful until provoked. Due to our intrinsically peaceful nature, threats of violence will not be met well. Any threat of violence against the NSA will be met with the application of greater violence than threatened.

The motto of the North Star Alliance is written in the language of Raxian, devised by Cpt. Furio and Cpt. Beefheart, circa 7200CE.
