NSA Shipyard

The NSA shipyard (located in orbit of the planet Brax) is open to the public, but preferentially services the members of the NSA, creating high quality ships to enable all it's customers to undertake the missions and assignments of their choice, while still allowing the flexibility within those designs to cater for more than a specific cause. Each design, with the exception of a few, is created with more than one purpose in mind. Failing that, the entire specification is subjected to a rigorous review phase, followed by an evolutionary modification phase. This ensures that each ship performs to the best of it's abilities, both within the scope of it's purpose, and outside of it.
The following ships are currently available from the NSA shipyard, although if you would like a bespoke design, we encourage you to contact the Masters of the NSA, Dillo, Aliya or Aries

[edit] NSA Mammoth MK2
Class: Heavy Freighter
Description
The NSA Mammoth MK2 is currently the oldest design on the NSA panel, it was designed with one purpose in mind; the lethally efficient moving of goods on a large scale. As it's name suggests, the ship has a truly massive cargo hold (The Mammoth's cargo hold is actually larger than any other NSA ship!).
As the Mammoth is part of the MK2 range, it unfortunately does not have the offensive/defensive capabilities of our later models, but at the low cost of the Mammoth, it's a great buy for people only interested in trading!

Class: Heavy Miner
Description
The NSA Mercury MK3 is currently the work-horse of the NSA Mining Unit. Used in mining operations all over the galaxy, the Mercury is more than capable of dominating the field economically, and at the same time represents an impressive military presence for it's class.
Equipped with the most efficient mining bay and a cargo hold large enough to carry the largest ship components, the Mercury is a genuine multi-purpose vehicle, suited to mining, trading, manufacturing and light combat.

Class: Freighter
Description
The NSA Pegasus MK3 is currently the ship-of-choice for the NSA Freight Unit. It's large cargo hold and military presence ensure not only the quick transportation of large quantities of goods, but also their safe transit. The Pegasus is also blessed with a high level scanner. Equipped with more guns than most small warships, the Pegasus stands as a multi-purpose vehicle in the NSA armoury, simultaneously serving as a freight ship, scout ship and light combat vessel.

Class: Corvette
Description
The NSA Raptor MK1 is currently the cheapest ship available from the NSA shipyard and represents the NSA Roid Scout class in that it is in effect a stripped down corvette. It can comfortably move over large distances while expending small amounts of turns, making it a highly useful addition to any mining squad. The Raptor also has a small cargo hold allowing the captain to make small trading runs making it not just cheap, but a multi-functional vessel.
