Moving

From Chosen Space V2 Wiki

The View Buttons
The View Buttons
Moving is obviously something you will want to do a lot - whether you are trading, mining, fighting, pirating or just sightseeing!

Towards the top of your screen you will always see the three view buttons. These will take you to the three views of space you have at your disposal.

If you would like to watch a video tutorial on Navigating, try this link [1]. Let the video load first, then view in fullscreen.

[edit] Sector View

Sector View
Sector View

Sector view shows you all 400 of the grids in your current sector. If you want to move to any of these grids, you only need to click on the required grid and, once that has loaded, the Light Speed button.

The number of turns required will be displayed under the Light Speedbutton, but it generally costs 1 turn per grid.

[edit] System View

System View
System View

System view shows you all 400 of the sectors in your current system. If you want to move to another sector, then click on the sector you want. This will open the sector view on that sector, and you can now choose the grid within the new sector you want to move to. Again, once you have chosen the grid you want to fly to, click the Light Speed button.

The number of turns required will be displayed under the Light Speedbutton, but it generally costs 10 turns for the first sector, and 5 for each sector thereafter.

[edit] Galaxy View

Galaxy View

Galaxy view shows you the entire galaxy, including expanse systems. To move to another system, first click on the system you want to move to, which will open the system view there. You can now click on the sector you require to open the sector view, and finally click on the grid you want.

This time, the button will be labelled Hyper Jump, but the effect is the same. Moving between systems takes about (but not exactly) 100 turns per system.

[edit] The Navigation Bar

The Navigation Bar
The Navigation Bar
In all three views, the navigation bar will be displayed to the right of the screen.

Towards the top of this bar, just under the view buttons, is the current date, your player name and your home tribe and world. Just under that you can see your balance and the ship you are in.

Finally, and most importantly for moving, you can see the number of turns you have remaining.

[edit] Navigation Computer

The buttons just underneath your turns make up your navigation computer. In her you can store locations you need to use again and again. To store a location in your navigation computer, you need to be at the location. Once there, just click an empty slot - this will store the location.

If you need to remove a location, click the Nav Computer button to see a list of stored locations, and just click Remove next to the location you want to remove.
