Jexia I, for the longest time, was an uninhabited world. However, it's location nearly midway between Netrea and Gratia has made it ripe for developement.
It is called Ballybran by the inhabitants of Ballybran City, a starbase located in its orbit (Grid 127).
Since 11172.75 CE it has slowly been populated by The Free Republic Of Ballybran, and many outposts have sprung up around Ballybran and its moon, Ootipah.

The Great Cataclysm
In 12151.08 CE, a huge Fullerite Ore asteroid slammed into Ootipah, pulverizing the small moon. Most of the small Ballybranian population was killed, including the founder, Flinx, and the colony's iridium refinery was destroyed. Through the quick thinking of a few Senators, most of the outposts and the remaining settlers were saved. They regrouped at Trellum, rechristened themselves The Ballybran Fleet, and went about rebuilding their lives.
