GALLEUS DU VAL - ROGUE TRADER - AIA LEADER OF TRADE
His Arrival
A noble Rogue Trader born and bred, Galleus Du Val fled the great conflict that is the Galactic War after being caught dealing in alien weaponry, despite insisting on his innocence. After much venturing through the various star systems he came to settle at Rumino in the now well established colony known as Chosenspace around the date 5787.04 CE.
Exuberance, Extravagance, Exotica
Galleus Du Val is a man of exotic tastes and well known for his exuberant life, taking pleasure in anything that is new, collectable or unaffordable to most. Du Val always wears the most extravagant (and expensive) perfume possible and wears his well groomed dark brown hair in a different style each day. He is of Caucasian appearance, stands 6'6 high and has piercing blue eyes which complement the pink and blue cloak he is nearly always seen in, a priceless family heirloom made from sea worm silk. Apart from money, the most important thing to him is his appearance, always kept immaculate to impress suitors when doing business or other exotic and/or illegal activities.
A Faithful Companion
Always by his side or perched on his lap is the Du Val family cat, Jinx. An exotic breed with white fur and tufted ears native to the ice moon of Heroth, Jinx first belonged to Galleus' great great great grandfather Lucius and is now over 200 years old. He is now a bio-mechanical construct, having his organic parts removed once they have failed and it is said that only the cat's brain and right paw are left of the original feline. Business partners of Du Val are often weary of Jinx, noting how the cat stares at them with an uneasy glare and unassuming intelligence.
The Brides Of Du Val
The closest people to Du Val are his five wives Francesca, Augustine, Annabella, Rosaline and Cassandra. These extraordinarily beautiful women live in excessive luxury and are afforded any gift they want, bowed upon by servants at every passing minute. Each day a different wife takes her turn to accompany Du Val on any business trips or anything else the Rogue Trader wishes to do, an agreement they are all very happy with as they live their life in splendour. It is also rumoured that one or more of Du Val's wives are of robot origin.
A Brief History, I
Du Val has belonged to many factions as well as leading several. He learnt the ways of this new galaxy at the Tarr Family Fleet before entering politics alongside the Tarr’s as part of the Cetus Republic. After acting as intergalactic ambassador, he left to start afresh in Casia, forming the Alliance Con Perseveranza, a faction based on the ideals of peace, prosperity and perseverance. The Rogue Trader was offered the planet Tapek for a reasonable amount of credits, which he purchased and began rebuilding. He brought a long needed stability to the throne as well as building trade routes and the construction of many outposts.
A Brief History, II
Tapek flourished under his rule until the Age of Change, when everyone was forced to flee and start a new again. Reclaiming Tapek, Du Val founded the Guild Of Martyred Doves which he led to great effect until he found he did not have the time to lead them as well as he could. Letting many men and friends down as well as the release of Tapek, he went into hiding where he emerged at the System Lords Alliance, becoming Head of Trade and surprising many. He stayed there through the factions various changes until Du Val decided to go solo for a while as well as flirting with the creation of the House Of Du Val. The faction began strong but once again Du Val realised he did not have the time to lead it effectively. He decided to join the Altian Imperial Alliance after many concerts with its members, quickly being promoted to Leader of Trade, where he has stayed since.
