to anyone who views this page, i ask you a simple question. would we like a fictional story to give the game a better sense of age? as V2 is completely different from V1, and as they are part of the same site, i believe we should have a story to distinguish either:
1. how they are different; or
2. how the V2 universe came to be.
this may be a good idea, i think it is (also i'm writing a little section for an idea...) but i want to know what you all think. message me in CS V2 if you agree or disagree with my idea.

My personal opinion can be veiwed in my description. i said the null expanded and evryone who was close enough was sucked into v2, but someone some people managed to stay there.

I think some story is a good idea, as the whole "let there be light" idea has already been used before I have to say I do like the idea of some kind of event forcing us here like Matt has said.
An alternative idea could be that across many galaxies (the V1 ones) strange wormholes opened up in space time. Due to the small size of the wormholes only small ships were able to enter but this did not stop many brave captains from jumping through them in search of wealth, adventure or simply for more asteroids to mine, little did they know that these wormholes were unstable and temporary.
They emerged from the wormholes to find themselves spread across a new galaxy, confronted with the fact that there was no going back. They quickly assembled themselves into factions, some new, some from old allies and set about colonising the many new planets, scouting out this new frontier and building starbases.
