When first discovered Aruk seemed a dead lifeless planet.

A rocky world, with limited resources, but necessary for survival
and colonization for the rest of the Altian system.

The Aruk Colony has been vital for the total colonization of the Altian system.
Humans founded a short-lived colony when they first arrived in the system,
but due to lack of water and the thin atmosphere, found it to be useful as a storage depot.
It was later abandoned for a more habitable planet in the system.

The Colony was founded as a refueling base for traders moving in and out of the Solian
system. An uprising in early 7500CE brought much attention to the planet and Capt. Scar
was sent to put down the revolt.

With Capt. Scar's arrival the revolt ended.
A new faction government took control of the planet and Capt. Scar was eventually elected to lead the planet.

Under his leadership, Aruk once again began to store supplies and become a
major trade depot along the Solian/Altian trade line.

Capt. Scar chose not to run for re-election, and the people of Altian
turned out in overwhelming numbers to elect Capt. Hrosskell to the post.
